Föreställningen tar formen av en slags privat liturgi som knyter samman de närvarande – både med varandra och med de vattenmassor vi alla är en del av. Verket bygger på konstnärens senaste bok Hydrojustice (Cambridge: Polity, 2025) och inleds med ett samtal samt en performativ uppläsning av utdrag ur boken på engelska.

Hydra: The Contract is an interactive and immersive performance in which the audience is invited to participate in a speculative contract amongst bodies of water.
The performance takes the form of a private liturgy, linking those present to one another and to the bodies of water to which we all belong. The work is based on the artist’s recent book Hydrojustice (Cambridge: Polity, 2025), and will be preceded by a discussion and a performative reading of extracts from the book in English.
Andreas Philippopoulos-Mihalopoulos is a visual artist, fiction author, and Professor of Law & Theory at the University of Westminster London.
